Video: Micro Stakes Poker Strategy

So I've been meaning to get around to making another strategy video for all of you guys that have been following my blog for a while now and I finally got something done! I get a lot of emails from people that are still trying to build a bankroll for themselves and have been stuck playing the micros for a while now so I wanted to make something that would be relevant to you guys. Rather than dragging on for a couple of hours I tried to make this video short and sweet (just about 25 minutes), although I probably rambled on a lot, and touch on some basic yet complex poker theory.

The last poker strategy video that I made was about me 24-tabling 100nl (link found on the right of this blog under "links") and the focus of that video was centered around showing you how to play/keep up with playing 24 tables at a time, rather than going into great detail about strategy. I wouldn't call anything that I did in this new video mind-blowing but the emphasis this time was on strategy/theory instead of demonstrating how to multi-table effectively.

Anyways, this seems about as good a time as any to give something back to you guys seeing how this blog almost has 150 people following it, which is hard to imagine since I started it a little over 1 year ago thinking that I would be mainly talking to myself the whole time. I'm thankful for everyone's support and I plan on doing a lot more for you guys throughout the year, whether it be more videos, coaching, staking, whatever.

The video quality may be a little fuzzy...I recorded it on a wide monitor but then had to produce it at a lower resolution because it was too big. Oh well, the audio is the most important anyways. Here's a link to the Megavideo download:

If you're interested in Mashup music then you might like the audio track that I used at the beginning and end of the video. DJ MattyB is a part-time DJ with a sick ear for music and makes some great stuff without any professional equipment:

Anyways, take a look at the video and I'd love to hear any questions or comments!

Edit: If anyone is having problems playing the video, try downloading the VLC player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and it should work with the .avi file.

gl at the tables!

  4. Hey Rossi, check the edit at the bottom of the post...go download VLC player and it should work. I had to produce it as a .avi file and not a .wmv so that's why you're having issues I think.

  5. Hey Frosty012 !
The 1st vid was much better. 4 tabling is boring imo. Pliz make your next vid 24 tabling again, and at 200nl+ if possible.
Don't get it wrong heh ! I love your blog and I love babe !

  7. Thanks for the feedback guys! Def understandable, especially if you're used to playing higher limits...everything in this video is pretty basic and I can see how it could come off as boring for sure, although it was intended for beginning players. Good to keep in mind for my next video!

  10. The principles of card play as seen in the game of poker are common to many games across the globe. But the one unusual factor which differentiates the poker game from other ancient games is the betting or gambling
